Data Collection

Lanco is provided as a free hosted service. Your data (including clients, projects, time logs, and invoices) is stored in a shared Supabase database. While your data is isolated to your account and protected by authentication, we have access to the database infrastructure.

Important: This is a free service provided without guarantees. We recommend maintaining your own backups of critical business data. You can also self-host your own instance of Lanco if you prefer complete control over your data.

Authentication

Authentication is handled by Supabase. When you create an account, your email and encrypted password are stored securely. Please refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy for information about how authentication data is handled.

Cookies

This application only uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are used. The essential cookies include:

• Authentication cookies - Required to maintain your logged-in session (Supabase)
• Session cookies - Required for the application to function properly

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the application and cannot be disabled.

Third-Party Services

This application uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase - Database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
• Vercel - Hosting (Privacy Policy)

Data Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase database with industry-standard encryption. Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level security policies. However, as with any online service, you should not store highly sensitive information and should maintain your own backups.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure
• Using a strong, unique password
• Maintaining backups of important data
• Not sharing your account with others

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains in the database as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at andrew@flett.cc. We may retain backups for a reasonable period for disaster recovery purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, modify, and delete your data through the application interface. For complete account deletion or data export requests, please contact us at andrew@flett.cc.

By using Lanco, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

• Data persistence or backup
• Continued operation of the service
• Support or maintenance
• Future feature development

The service may be discontinued at any time without notice. Always maintain your own backups of critical business data.

Lanco is a tool for tracking time and creating invoices. It does not provide accounting, legal, or tax advice. Always consult with qualified professionals for business decisions.

Self-Hosting

If you prefer complete control over your data, you can self-host your own instance of Lanco under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License for personal use. Contact andrew@flett.cc for more information.

Service Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time for any reason without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance, updates, or permanent shutdown.
